Graduate Students:
I typically take on 1-2 new MS students each academic year. Email me for more information- include your resume/CV and a short summary of your research interests. I will begin reviewing all applicants materials in October and contact folks in November about setting up informal Zoom interviews about the position(s).
I currently do not have grant funding, so all support would come in the form of a Teaching Assistantship, as well as potentially from the Watershed Scholars Program. See also the SIUE Biology Grad Program departmental page for general information.
Undergraduate Students:
I am looking for several undergraduate students to participate in ongoing research activities, as well as develop independent research projects through either BIOL 492M, BIOL 493 or the URCA program. Email me for more information- include your resume/CV, a list of what science courses you've taken, and some topics you might be interested in working on. I generally prefer students to work in my lab for a semester prior to conducting an independent research project (e.g., 492M) but contact me to discuss further.
Post Docs
I currently have no funding for a post doc position. Email me if you are interested in writing a collaborative proposal to fund a position, which could include working remotely. Please include your CV and some potential research ideas that you would be interested in working on together.
